These terms supplement the terms of use. They apply to private persons offering parts they own (the "private seller"). Version of November 2026.
1. Who can offer parts
- You must be an adult and act privately. A commercial activity must use a business account.
- Your account is accepted by HOTIPARTS before your first listing. This option is only open in certain countries.
- You only offer parts that belong to you, that you have at home and that you are entitled to dispose of.
2. Your listings
- Each listing is checked by HOTIPARTS before it is published. We may refuse it and explain why.
- At the start, you can publish 1 listing(s). You can ask to publish more with the "Ask to publish more" button.
- At least one photo of the part is required. It must not show your name, address, phone number or number plate.
- The condition is required: new, used or refurbished. Describe defects honestly.
- For each listing, you declare on your honour that the part belongs to you, is neither stolen nor counterfeit and that the description is accurate.
- File import is reserved for companies.
3. Answering and connecting
You answer requests online, without giving your name. If a buyer requests a connection, you have 5 days to accept or refuse. You choose what you share: at least one means of contact (e-mail or phone). Your address is never shared.
4. Always free
Private sellers never pay to use HOTIPARTS, even if a fee for companies is introduced one day.
5. The sale
Any sale is made directly between you and the buyer. You are responsible for what you sell and for the information you give. Tips: meet the buyer in a safe place or send the part only after receiving a traceable payment; never give out payment codes or passwords.
6. Checks
If in doubt, we may ask for proof, remove a listing or suspend the account. Listings that have not been confirmed for a long time may be paused.
